Taylor’s Eyes

I wrote this poem in 2006 in honor of American Idol winner Taylor Hicks. I came across it 2 years ago when I was going through some old files on my computer and since they just announced the 2021 winner, I thought I would share it. 😁

Taylor’s Eyes

They say the eye’s are the “window to the soul”

And I believe that it is true

Your eyes shine so bright

And reveal the wonderful soul in you

This wonderful and awesome person

that is held deep within

And I begin to wonder

How do I begin

To describe this angel of God

and his sweet soulful way

To bring so many people to come and share

his victory each and every day

I pray that you will never change

and that your heart is always filed with love

You truly are a blessing to others

and I believe heaven’s light is shining on you from above

CHS Father’s Day campaign

My dad passed away a month after I started working for the Children’s Home Society of WV in 2007 and that’s when I found out that he was adopted through the agency, along with my aunt.

They are currently running a Father’s Day campaign to raise money for the agency from now until June 21st. If you would like to learn more or donate, check out the link below. Thanks 😊

Bloom where you’re planted Bible journaling

Here’s a Bible journaling page I did 2 years ago in my mini happy planner. 😁

“God has planted you where you’re at for a reason. Bloom where you are planted. Don’t try to move until you’ve bloomed where you’re at. Fruit-bearing and spiritual maturity go hand in hand.” – Joyce Meyer

You have not chosen Me, but I have chosen you and I have appointed you [I have planted you], that you might go and bear fruit and keep on bearing, and that your fruit may be lasting [that it may remain, abide], so that whatever you ask the Father in My Name [as [a presenting all that I Am], He may give it to you. – John 15:16, AMPC
