“The greatest pain of the cross was the pain of sin…” Max Lucado #quote

The greatest pain of the cross was the pain of sin. Jesus didn’t deserve to feel the shame, but he felt it. He didn’t deserve the humiliation, but he experienced it. He had never sinned, yet was treated like a sinner. He became sin. All the guilt, remorse, and embarrassment– Jesus understands it…

Open #poem

This poem I wrote for a Hope Writers challenge was in my memories today and I wanted to share it! 😁

Speak to me lord for I am listening
My heart is an OPEN book and you are the author
I want my life to be your story
Because only your words are life giving water

Use me lord to write your words
I want to be OPEN
To share what I’ve learned
Because only you can save this broken and hurting world

Isaiah 55:10-11, ESV

10 “For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, 11 so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
