Today would have been my grandfather’s birthday, so I wanted to repost this blog that I made with poems I wrote about him.
My father passed in 2007 from lung cancer and we had an estranged relationship. We were really close growing up but after my parents divorced and my dad remarried, I didn’t get to see him as much as I wanted to. This poem is a reflection of my heart at that time and what l the little girl inside of me would have liked to have asked my dad before he passed away!
