Waiting is never wasted..

Amen!! I have been waiting since 2012 for a specific promise from God to come to pass. But, God!! In his grace, mercy and goodness knows when the time is right and he has already been giving me glimpses of the fulfillment! The waiting has been long, but God is never late and if he had given it to me before he knew I was ready, I would have blown it.

Don’t give up if you’re still waiting on a promise from God. Because once he finally reveals why you had to wait so long, it makes sense and it makes the waiting so much easier! 😭🙌

Let your light shine before others

This quote came up in my memories today and it reminded me of the Bible verses in Matthew 5:14-16 where Jesus tells his disciples to let their light shine before others so that they may see their good deeds and glorify the father in Heaven.

If I claim to be a follower of Jesus, am I trying to make myself look good or am I actually denying myself and letting God work through me? At the end of the day, it’s not about me. My wants. My needs. My feelings. It’s about loving others and pointing them to Christ. ✝️

“You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father – Matthew 5:14-16, NLT

God’s way, not mine

I’ve been a Christian for since my teens and I’ve had so many ups and downs during my walk with Christ. But the only thing that remains true is that no matter how many times I have messed up, walked away or wanted to give up, God never did. It’s taken me a long time to realize that once I decide to surrender to God and his will for my life, everything seems to work out better than I could have hoped or imagined!
