Life update

I wanted to make a quick blog post to let everyone know that I had to have surgery on Wednesday. I was originally scheduled for a partial hysterectomy but once they started the operation they found out that I had endometriosis and removed my ovaries as well.

I was able to go home the same day as my surgery and have been resting and taking it easy since then. I haven’t had any major problems except for some shoulder pain from the trapped gas from the surgery. Which has been great since I haven’t needed to take any of the pain medication that I was prescribed.

I will be off work until August 5th and go back to my doctor at the end of August for my 6 week follow up appointment. At which point we will discuss treatment options as needed for any hot flashes or other symptoms of menopause.

Lilo and Stitch planner spread

I have been in a planner funk for about a month now. I’ve still been writing down my plans but I haven’t been in a mood to decorate like I have been. So for July I decided to try and get back into the swing of things and do a planner refresh.

I bought an A5 undated half year planner from Sterling Ink because I really wanted to try using this size again and I like that the daily pages are blank. So if I miss a few days, it’s not the end of the world 😆

I also recently got the Lilo and Stitch Be Happy Box from the Happy Planner and really wanted to use it this week as I will be working and I don’t have any plans for the Fourth of July.

There is a little girl inside of me #poem

My father passed in 2007 from lung cancer and we had an estranged relationship. We were really close growing up but after my parents divorced and my dad remarried, I didn’t get to see him as much as I wanted to. This poem is a reflection of my heart at that time and what l the little girl inside of me would have liked to have asked my dad before he passed away!

I originally shared the poem on my blog in 2019 which can be viewed at the link below
