DIY hair cut and color refresh

I’m going to Lexington, Kentucky on Saturday for Scarefest weekend to have my picture taken with the cast of Grimm, so I wanted to do a quick hair makeover before I went.

Over the weekend, I cut my own hair following a curly shag tutorial on YouTube, by parting it in 4 sections and I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I’ve included the link to the video I followed at the end of this post if you’re interested in checking it out.

I also used a color remover and refreshed my purple hair using Arctic Fox Purple AF.

Arctic Fox Purple Hair Dye over brown hair

I recolored my hair on Saturday and haven’t gotten a chance to post the pictures yet. I had used a permanent color several weeks ago and it didn’t come out the color that was on the box, but since I knew I was planning on redoing the purple color towards the end of the month, it didn’t matter.

I didn’t bleach it beforehand or use a color remover. I just put it on top of the other color at let it sit for a little over an hour with a hair cap, then just rinsed out with warm water. And this is the final result 😁💜
